E-Kan Soong is an actor, writer, and content creator from Los Angeles.

Catch him on DTF: St Louis on HBO Max, streaming now. He has been on hit shows such as NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy, Bosch:Legacy, and New Girl, and many national commercials.

While growing up in South Jersey, I graduated in the top of my high school class as well as competing in both classical piano and tennis, which happens to be every Asian parents' dream.

However, when I arrived for my first day at the University of Chicago and said, "Hi, my name is E-Kan, and I'm an Econ major", I knew I was meant to be on a bigger stage. I soon began writing and performing in original sketch and stage shows on campus and eventually moved to Los Angeles. My parents have since recovered.

I have worked on hit shows such as Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, New Girl, opposite the likes of Tom Hanks, Zooey Deschanel, and Titus Welliver, and shot commercials for major brands such as McDonald's, UPS, and Facebook. I also write and direct my own projects, create content online where I explain complex things in a fun and simple way. Currently I host a weekly podcast on acting and Hollywood called "The Actor's Guide to the End of the World" (available on all platforms) and am about to launch a digital short form series I created and am starring in.

I believe one can always get better at their craft and have been studying at Lesly Kahn for years. I have also studied at Sharon Chatten and the Second City, and I am currently training in stunts and fighting for film and tv.
